Best Western awarded AAA "Travel Partner of the Year"

Best Western International has been honored with the coveted AAA “Travel Partner of the Year” award in addition to two other honors in the hotel category during the organization’s recent 2009 Preferred Partner Awards Ceremony.

This is the second consecutive year that Best Western has won the Partner of the Year award from AAA, the nation’s largest leisure travel organization. This year, Best Western was also awarded Best in Marketing and Best in Sales awards in the hotels category.

“To be recognized for setting the standard for AAA’s preferred hotel partners is a tremendous honor,” said Dorothy Dowling, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Best Western International. “We value our long-term partnership with AAA, and will continue to reward their members with the outstanding service and value they’ve come to expect from Best Western.”

Winners were chosen based upon a survey of the association’s club travel agency executives, who were asked to rate AAA’s 40 preferred travel partners

"Best of the Web Silver" awarded to bestwestern.com

The first annual Gomez Web Performance Awards have been presented, with bestwestern.com winning the Silver Award in the “Travel/Hotels” category. Marriott won the gold and Kayak the bronze.

Gomez tracks the response time, availability and performance of 24 different hotel Web sites including all of our competitors, and most of the major online travel agencies. Best Western actually beat Marriott on response time but fell just a bit short on availability in 2009.
